Privacy Policy
Zoe Howse Breathwork ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and how we look after it. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1.What we collect
- Identity & contact: your name and email address (collected at sign-up so we can give you account access and send you the Zoom link).
- Payment details: your payment is processed by Stripe (or our nominated processor). We do not see or store your card number, CVV, or expiry. We only see whether the charge succeeded.
- Health information you choose to share: if you email Zoe directly about a health condition or contraindication, that information is treated as confidential and used only to advise on your participation.
- Session participation data: Zoom logs (attendance) so we know who joined.
- Website analytics: aggregated, anonymous data about page visits (e.g. via Google Analytics or similar). Used to improve the site, not to identify you.
2.How we use it
- To send you the recurring Zoom link and weekly session reminders.
- To process your monthly payment and send tax invoices.
- To answer your emails.
- To send occasional announcements about events, programs, or new offerings.
- To improve the website and member experience.
3.Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary information with these third parties to deliver the service:
- Stripe — to process payments. Stripe has its own strict privacy and security standards (stripe.com/privacy).
- Zoom — to host live sessions (zoom.us/privacy).
- Email service provider (e.g. ConvertKit, Mailchimp, or similar) — to send you reminders and announcements.
- Web hosting and analytics providers (Netlify, Google Analytics or similar) — to keep the website running.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
4.How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your subscription is active and for up to 2 years after you cancel (for tax record purposes). After that, identifying information is deleted or anonymised.
5.Your rights
You can:
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or update it
- Ask us to delete it (subject to our legal record-keeping obligations)
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time (link in every email)
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) if you believe we've mishandled your information
6.Cookies
The website may use cookies for essential functionality and anonymous analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — the site will still work but may be less personalised.
7.Children
Zoe Howse Breathwork is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
8.Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be notified by email.
